Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 20, 2026
App: Taktap: Pro Metronome
Developer: Nguyen Nguyen
Taktap collects nothing. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising, no crash-reporting service and no server.
Taktap is a metronome for iPhone and iPad, coming soon to the App Store. It does not send anything you create or do in the app to me or to anyone else.
What stays on your device
Your settings, presets, songs, setlists, practice history and goals are stored only on your device, in the app’s own storage. They’re included in your device’s own iCloud or computer backup, under your Apple account, like the data of any app. You can also export a backup file yourself and choose where to keep it; Taktap never sends it anywhere on its own.
Permissions
Taktap asks for a permission only when you turn on the feature that needs it, and uses it only for that feature:
- Microphone: only while the Rhythm Accuracy Trainer listens to your instrument with “Microphone” chosen. The sound is analyzed on the device as it arrives, to find when you play; it is never recorded, stored or sent.
- Bluetooth: only to connect to Bluetooth MIDI devices you pair, such as pedals or drum machines.
- Local network: only when you turn on network MIDI, to exchange MIDI with devices on your Wi-Fi.
- Notifications: only if you ask the practice timer to remind you when a countdown ends; the reminder is created on the device.
Tracking
Taktap doesn’t track you. It doesn’t use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and shares nothing with advertisers or data brokers.
Children
Taktap collects no information from anyone, children included.
