Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 14, 2026
App: Shell Keyboard

Shell Keyboard collects no data. Nothing at all.

There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no telemetry, no advertising identifier, no user accounts.

Full Access

The keyboard never requests Full Access (Open Access). Apple's iOS naturally prevents the keyboard from reaching the network, the shared pasteboard, or any storage outside its own sandbox. This is a permanent design guarantee, not a default we might change.

What you type

The keyboard never reads what you type. It does not request document context — it cannot see the text before or after the cursor, or your selection. What each key sends is determined only by the key you tapped and which modifier keys are armed.

Third-party SDKs and Network

No third-party SDKs or frameworks of any kind are bundled. Nothing is ever transmitted anywhere, because there is no network code and no network permission.

Local Storage

The only data stored is a single on/off preference for keyboard clicks. It is kept in the keyboard's own private storage on your device. It never leaves the device and is deleted when you delete the app. The "Try it" screen inside the app is entirely local. Text typed there stays on the device and is never sent anywhere.

Privacy Manifest

The app's Apple privacy manifest declares no tracking, no tracking domains, no collected data types, and no accessed-API reasons.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, of any age.
