App: Honeytide: App Revenue
Developer: Nguyen Nguyen
Honeytide collects nothing. There is no Honeytide server and no Honeytide account, so your data never reaches us.
Honeytide shows app developers their own sales, installs and ad earnings, on iPhone and iPad. It is coming soon to the App Store.
What Honeytide collects
Nothing. We do not collect, store or share any personal data or usage data. The app contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting code.
What stays on your device
- Your keys. The App Store Connect API key you import (and, if you connect Google, your Google sign-in token) are kept in your device’s Keychain, available only on that device.
- Your figures. Sales reports downloaded from Apple and reports from Google are stored only in the app’s container on your device. They are not synced to iCloud.
- Your settings. Theme, app icons, notifications and lock preferences, on your device.
- Files you export. A backup or a CSV export is written only when you ask for one, and goes only where you send it (Files, AirDrop, mail). A backup never contains your keys or sign-in; protect it with a passphrase if you store it somewhere others can reach.
Who the app talks to
| Service | Why | What is sent |
|---|---|---|
| Apple App Store Connect API | Your daily sales reports | A token signed with your key; the report dates |
| Apple App Store (public lookup) | Your apps’ icons and bundle IDs (to match Analytics to apps), if App icons is on | Your apps’ public App Store IDs |
| Google (AdMob, Cloud Storage, Analytics), only if you connect it | Your AdMob earnings, Google Play reports and Analytics users | The sign-in token of the Google account you chose for each; report dates |
| open.er-api.com | Exchange rates for converting currencies | Currency codes only |
These services handle requests under their own privacy policies. Honeytide sends nothing else anywhere. Google access is read-only.
Data from Google
If you connect Google, Honeytide asks only for read-only access to the sources you choose: your AdMob reports, the Google Play reports in your Cloud Storage bucket, and your Google Analytics data. This is exactly what it reads:
- AdMob: your AdMob account, its apps (their names, platforms and linked store IDs), and your network earnings, impressions and clicks by app, day and country.
- Google Play (Cloud Storage, read-only): only the sales, earnings and installs report files in the Play reports bucket you enter.
- Google Analytics: your Analytics account, GA4 property and data-stream names, with each app stream’s bundle ID or package name (to match them to your apps), and active users, new users and sessions by day, stream and country for the properties you switch on.
- Your Google account’s email address, to show which account each source uses.
Honeytide shows you these figures, and computes totals and ratios from them (such as revenue per new user), only on your device.
Honeytide uses this data only to show you your own figures in the app, on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, not used for advertising, not sold, and not read by people: there is no Honeytide server it could reach. You can revoke the access at any time by disconnecting Google in the app, or in your Google Account’s security settings.
Honeytide’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How your data is protected
- Encrypted in transit. Every request between the app and Apple, Google or the exchange-rate service uses HTTPS (TLS).
- Keys in the Keychain. Your App Store Connect key and your Google sign-in tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain, only on that device. Short-lived Google access tokens are kept in memory only.
- Reports in the app’s container. Downloaded reports are stored in the app’s own container, protected by iOS data protection, and not synced to iCloud. Like any app’s data, they are included in your device’s own iCloud or computer backup, under your Apple account; your keys and sign-in never move to another device.
- No server. There is no Honeytide server, so no copy of anyone’s data exists outside their own device and its backups.
Tracking
Honeytide doesn’t track you. It doesn’t use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and contains no third-party analytics or advertising code. Its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.
How long data is kept
- Reports and tokens are kept on your device only until you delete them: with Settings → Delete everything, by turning off a Google source and choosing Delete data, or by deleting the app.
- Disconnecting Google (turning off the last source that uses an account) revokes Honeytide’s access at Google straight away, and so does Delete everything.
- Honeytide keeps no copy anywhere else, so there is nothing to delete on our side.
Deleting your data
Settings → Delete everything removes your keys and every downloaded report from the device. Disconnecting Google also revokes Honeytide’s access at Google. Deleting the app removes everything.
Children
Honeytide is a tool for app developers and is not directed at children.
