Playing

How do I play?

Drag a piece from the tray of three onto the 9×9 board. Connect 4 or more blocks of the same color — side by side, not diagonally — and they pop. Each popped block scores a point. Pop two or three groups with one piece and your points are multiplied (up to ×3); keep popping on consecutive moves and a streak bonus multiplies them too (up to ×3).

How do I rotate or flip a piece?

Tap a piece to rotate it. Double-tap to flip it.

What is Color Blast, and how do I charge it?

Clearing blocks charges the Blast. When it’s full, Tibbar pops out of her magic hat: pick a color and every block of that color leaves the board.

Without Remove Ads, a charged Blast asks you to watch a short video first. It’s free when no ad is available, if you have Remove Ads, and when you charged it by catching the Fancy hat. Tibbar’s hat has to be home to use it: while the hat is out on the board, the Blast is paused.

What are the board events?

There are 13: Stone, Color rain, Wild block, Gold bars, Color swap, Frost, Gravity, Magnet, Quake, Repaint, Bomb, Mirror and the Fancy hat. The pill at the top of the screen says which one is coming and in how many moves, and a ring on the board shows where it will land. Tap the pill to see what it does.

What is the Fancy hat?

The newest event, and it turns up later in a game. Tibbar’s hat hops off the Color Blast button and lands on the board. Pop a group right next to it within 5 moves and you get a full Color Blast for free. While the hat is out, the Blast is paused.

Why do new colors appear?

Every game starts with its own 7 colors. New colors join one by one as you play, up to all 11, and the countdown on the board shows when the next one arrives.

Can I undo a move?

Yes — you can take back your last move.

What’s a seed?

Every game has a seed code, shown at the top left of the game and on the game-over card. Start a new game with a friend’s seed and you’ll both play the same pieces and events — then compare scores.

Why did the game end?

The game ends when no piece in the tray fits anywhere on the board and you can’t use a Color Blast (it isn’t charged, or Tibbar’s hat is out on the board).

How do I replay the tutorial?

Tap How to Play on the Home screen, or go to Settings → How to Play.

How do I change the language, sound or motion?

It’s all in Settings: Language, Sound effects, Music, Haptics and Reduce motion.

Purchases and Game Center

How do I remove ads?

Buy Remove Ads in the game. It’s a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The rules and scoring are the same with or without it.

What do I get with Remove Ads?

No ads, including the video before a Color Blast. Tibbar gets a gold band on her hat, and you can pick a board theme — Gold, Midnight or Sakura — in Settings → Theme.

It’s a one-time purchase. Themes are cosmetic: the rules and scoring are the same for everyone.

I bought Remove Ads on another device, or I reinstalled.

Go to Settings → Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID (iPhone/iPad) or Google account (Android) you bought it with. Restoring doesn’t charge you again.

My score isn’t on the leaderboard.

Sign in to Game Center in iOS Settings → Game Center. Once you’re signed in, your score is sent automatically. Being signed in also means your best score comes back after a reinstall.

On Android, sign in to Google Play Games. The game signs you in automatically when it starts; if it doesn’t, open the Google Play Games app and sign in there.

Privacy and your data

How do I change my ad privacy choices?

In iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android: Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads). In some regions, you can also change them in the game under Settings → Privacy choices.

How do I turn off analytics?

Turn off Settings → Share analytics in the game.

Is my progress backed up?

Your current game and settings are stored only on your device, and they’re removed if you delete the app. Your best score lives in Game Center (iPhone/iPad) or Google Play Games (Android) if you’re signed in. More in the privacy policy.
