Support & FAQ

How to play, how purchases work, and what to do when something goes wrong. Requires iOS 15.0 or later, or Android 7.0 or later.

How to play

  1. Drag a shape out of one of the three slots and drop it on the 7×7 grid.
  2. When four edges close around a cell, that square clears and gives the space back.
  3. Each slot carries its own score multiplier, so pick which shape to spend and which to keep.
  4. Nothing counts down. The number to watch is the move counter, and clearing squares earns moves back.

Every line you clear adds its colour to a pool. Fill all eleven and Color Purge charges — cast it, pick a colour, and every line of that colour is swept off the board at a ×10 bonus.

Purchases

I reinstalled the game and the ads are back.

Use Restore Purchase in the pause menu. Purchases are tied to the account that bought them — your Apple account on iOS, or your Google account on Android — not to the device, so restoring works on a new phone or after a reinstall, as long as you are signed in to the same account. Restoring is free and does not charge you again.

How do I cancel the subscription? (iOS, for existing subscribers)

The 3-month subscription is no longer sold, but if you have one it keeps renewing until you cancel it. Cancel in your device's Apple account settings, not in the game: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends, otherwise it renews for another 3 months.

Deleting the game does not cancel a subscription. It carries on renewing until you turn it off in Settings.

What happens when the subscription lapses? (iOS, for existing subscribers)

Ad-free play stops at the end of the period you already paid for, and the ads come back. Nothing else changes — your progress, level, best score and settings are untouched. The subscription is no longer sold, so to remove the ads again, buy Remove Ads, the one-time purchase.

Is Remove Ads a subscription?

No. Remove Ads is a one-time purchase: you pay once, it never renews, and it removes every ad in the game for good. More on the main page.

I was charged but I still see ads.

Try Restore Purchase in the pause menu first, and check you are signed in to the account that made the purchase — your Apple account on iOS, or your Google account on Android. If it still does not clear, email me with the date of the charge and I will sort it out.

Refunds themselves go through the store — I cannot issue them. On iOS, use reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, go to Google Play: Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history, or use Google’s refund request page.

Troubleshooting

I changed phones and my progress is gone.

Progress is saved on the device, and only on the device. There is no account and no cloud save, so a score and level do not follow you to a new phone. Deleting the game deletes the save with it. Purchases do transfer through the same Apple or Google account — see Restore Purchase above.

My scores or achievements are not showing up.

Game Center (iOS): check that you are signed in to Game Center: Settings → Game Center on the device. Then check that Game Center is allowed for this game in the same place. If you were signed out when you set a score, that score was never submitted — it stays as your local best, but the leaderboard will not have it until you beat it while signed in.

Google Play Games (Android): tap SIGN IN in the Hall of Fame, then check which Google account Play Games is using, in the Google Play Games app or your Play Store profile. As on iOS, a score set while you were signed out stays as your local best and is not submitted.

A rewarded ad did not finish, or did not unlock the assist.

The assist unlocks when the ad reports back that it played through to the end. Closing an ad early, or losing the network partway, means that never happens. Check your connection and try again from the same button.

If no ad loads at all, there may simply be none available to serve right now; that is on the ad network's side and usually passes. The assist is never the only way forward — shuffle, rotate, flip and undo do not need an ad.

I am stuck. Nothing fits.

Five things can move you on: shuffle swaps a shape for a different one, rotate and flip reorient the one you have, hint shows a placement, and undo takes back the last move. If Color Purge is charged, casting it clears a whole colour and usually reopens the board.

If none of the three shapes has a legal placement left, the game ends. That is by design, not a bug — running the board out of room is the fail state.

Can I replay a board?

Yes. Each game is seeded by the short flux code shown at the top of the screen. The same code produces the same board, so you can replay one or pass it to someone else.

The game keeps reminding me to play.

Those are local notifications, scheduled on the device a few days after you last played. On iOS, turn them off in Settings → Notifications → Square 'em All. On Android, turn them off in Settings → Apps → Square 'em All → Notifications; on Android 13 and later the game asks for notification permission first.
